New Super Mario Bros U WII U

New Super Mario Bros U is the fourth entry into the New Super Mario Bros. series and is by far and away the best one.

IT follows the usual trend of eight worlds, a mid castle and a fortress in each world as Peach has once again been taken by Bowser.
While it retains the 'New' title, this is by far and away the closest Nintendo have come to making another Super Mario World.

This game resembles both Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 3 more than any 2D Mario has done before. Nintendo have added an interjoined world map just like in SMW, and you can visit the worlds in mostly any order you want.

There are over 80 levels in the entire game let alone all the bonus content of challenges, the new boost rush and coin battles. If you liked any Mario game in the past then you will enjoy this.

Somehow I've gotten this far without actually mentioning the fact that this is the first Mario game in High-Definition and the game certainly benefits from it! While it doesn't show off the HD visuals as the upcoming 3D Mario game will it certainly is a very pretty game in terms of how the levels look and the enemies. Without spoiling too much i will just say the Final Battle certainly shows it off extremely well.

The four player multiplayer returns and with the added power of the Wii U, it makes it more playable than before as the screen will now extend further to accommodate the multiple players as opposed to just bouncing off each other every five seconds.

This is certainly a great launch title and i think it shouldn't be dismissed just purely on the fact that it's 'another 2D Mario game' when this is one of the finest entries into the series.

I have been playing Mario games for over 25 years now and I have to say that I have never smiled so much when playing one until now.

Super Mario Bros U is a throw back to Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World. It really is a retro updated classic with visual updates a plenty. The main thing is that the gameplay still is wonderful and running through the environments is a complete joy with the typical mario sights and sounds.

The game really ramps up the difficulty quickly and trying to locate all 3 coins is challenging in it's own right. This is a good thing, as I want to feel like I am being pushed as a gamer to achieve everything and then gloat about my success on MiiVerse.

I've not tried this on Multiplayer as I want to enjoy the experience first before throwing Chaos into the mix but so far I am really impressed with the latest Mario outing.
