Gears of War Judgment Inc Exclusive DLC and Original Gears of War XBOX 360

Gears is back with a vengeance. New maps, modes, characters etc. I'll agree with the review above but don't forget this is a spin off from gears.
New guns kick like a mule, loadout creates more tacticality, and the new ways to move around the maps make movement a breeze.
Loving it so far, New maps and game modes are coming in a free pack beginning of April.
Let's go Gears.

I'm going to start things off by saying that this game is an absolute blast to play, with a tight but simple control scheme, with a few tweaks to the old system which overall makes the game play much smoother than before, you now press Y to switch weapons rather than relying on the unreliable 360 D-Pad, however this comes at the expense of only been able to carry two weapons, instead of the usual four (Two main weapons, a Grenade and a Pistol).


The new control scheme has forced some massive changes in to the multiplayer scene, the most notable of which is the inclusion of a load-out system as oppose to the usual shotgun and Rifle combination, you now can chose just one primary weapon to spawn with along side the pistol, whih reduces your versatility in the match and forces you to think more before you act, say if you chose to start with the Gnasher Shotgun, but your opponents chose a rifle your going to have to think of a way to close that gap without him been able to down you with his rifle, one way you could do this is with Grenades, as due to the new loadout system you can spawn with a grenade, and that grenade can be thrown without the need to switch out you main weapon, which means you can flush you opponent out with a grenade then rush them with your shotgun.

The game as enjoyable as it is, is very lacking in actual content, with a campaign that you could finish in about five hours, and only four multiplayer maps, that can be used for classic multiplayer modes like team-deathmatch and domination, and the game been very light on character and weapon skins when compared to Gears of War 3, and with series staples like execution not included at launch, the game doesn’t feel complete.

Now for the spawn of the devil otherwise known as micro-transactions, I'm almost certain that Epic decided to purposely cut down on actual unlockables, just so that there micro-transaction skins would get more purchases, which would be fine, but when you buy a game for £40, you expect there to be more content on the disk than content that needs to be purchased for extra, by using a little bit of match you can work out that if you wanted all the skins, and purchased them separately it would cost you over 11000 M$P, and they are not the only micro-transactions in the game you can also purchase double exp, which to me beats the whole purpose of the exp system and will probably mean that there are no exp events coming to this game, I could go on more, but I'll end this section here before it becomes a rant.

Earlier I mentioned that there are only four multiplayer maps, but that is not entirely true there are also four more, but they are exclusive to a new game mode called over run, which is where I myself have spent most of my play time on this game, the mode is essentially Beast mode from Gears of War 3, but with actual people playing the role of the C.O.G, the whole game is a race of who can beat who the fastest with both teams taking it in turns to try and destroy the opposing teams generator, and the mode is tailored to give the locust and advantage, so the C.O.G almost always lose, so it's all a case of who is faster.

I was going to say something about the graphics, but honestly the title of the game is Gears of war so that part speaks for itself.

Despite the almost 'This is not Gears' feeling that Gears of War: Judgment carries, it’s still a pretty good package and a must have for fans of the franchise. Two great campaigns, some new modes and plenty of Locust chainsawing action. It’s just a shame they had to strip away so many features from the title to add new ones.

Lack of unlockable content
COG VS Locust MP is gone apart from in overrun.
So many Micro-transactions

It looks fun but it will be the first Gears game I won't be getting on day 1. I felt Gears 3 did not move things on at all and this one looks very similar. I don't like the fact that people with more cash to spend get more xp. It puts me off buying this companies products.
