Clap Hanz are looking at releasing their upcoming Hot Shots Golf game alongside the PlayStation Vita as a launch title, when it becomes available next year (this year in Japan).
According to producer, Yoshinori Kotsugai, in an interview with gaming magazine Famitsu, development on the PS Vita title started in July last year and is already around 50% done thanks to the power of Sony’s new handheld letting them use the skills they picked up, when they were working on Hot Shots Golf 5.
Kotsugai also said that the game will support both 3G and Wi-Fi connection, for different features. The game will make use of the console’s 3G data connection to upload player rankings and download ghost data to your game, so you can see how you compare to to other gamers, as you play. Wi-Fi will be used to create a full in-game lobby, where players’ avatars can hang out, interact and play against each other in competitive multiplayer.
