Speaking to Industry Gamers, Dan Ayoub has revealed that Halo Anniversary will allow players to switch between old and updated graphics, instantly.
To achieve this, 343 Industries have created the game so that it will run two engines side-by-side, at all times. The original engine will feel and look exactly as the original did while the second, which was created by 343 Games and Saber Interactive, will give the title a visual polish that makes everything look a little prettier.
In the same discussion, Dan Ayoub told the site that they will ‘never try to replicate what Bungie did’ with Halo 4. Although, at the same time, they will “never ignore the roots and foundation of what makes Halo successful.”
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is due out in November, exclusively to Xbox 360, and will feature everything from the original and then some.
