Nintendo’s 3Ds made some waves in Japan last week, thanks to Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
The 3D handheld managed to shift 40,649 units last week, compared to 24,649 the week before. In comparison the PSP sold 31,747 units, which is also an increase compared to the 26,861 units it sold the previous week.
Sony’s PS3 was still the top selling home console, out selling the Wii by around 10,000 units with 16,081 units sold last week.
As mentioned, on the software side it was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time which was the star of the week as far as the 3DS was concerned, although it was PSP and Level-5 title, Danbōru Senki, which managed to secure the most sales for the week, but only just.
