Gfk Chart-Track data has revealed that Ocarina of Time was bought Nintendo by over 20 per cent of the handheld’s userbase in its first two days on sale.
Sales of the device had been falling recently, however with a whole host of new games on the horizon, Nintendo UK head David Yarnton has told MCV that he feels things are looking up.
“We generally find that summer time is a good time for handheld gaming and we have lots of sampling and summertime events to get more people hands on with it – that leads us nicely up to all that great content coming out.”
Future content includes Resident Evil: Mercenaries which arrive this Friday and as well as future titles such as StarFox 3D, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear Solid 3D, Mario Kart 3D and Super Mario.
Sound like one gaming device is in for a good summer.
