It’s being reported that Sony is developing a PlayStation Network design upgrade that could transform the online environment, giving it a more image based look along the lines of Xbox LIVE and Steam.
According to Reg Hardware, the new PSN Store will have what the site source calls “an aesthetic layout with logically marked sections and rolodex lists”.
Also on the cards is a new, live search method with results appearing you enter the text, rather than forcing you to visit another page.
In addition, it appears the movies section will also be rebuilt, giving it an IMDB-style database, which means when you select a movie the actor and other details will appear. Clicking on this will then lead you to more information regarding the actor including links to all of their movies.
Games will also be treated this way, being categorised by genre, publisher, developer, etc.
Finally there will also be a new Deals of the Week section too.
