Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has become the first 3DS title to shift one million units, and deservedly so.
The reworked RPG sold an impressive 1.08 million units between Junw 16 and June 30, broken down as 810,000 units for the West, and 270,000 units in Japan.
We expect it has sold many more units since.
In addition to this, Nintendo has also fired over an updated release schedule for the next quarter of the year and with titles such as Star Fox 3D (9/9/2011), Super Mario 3D Land (CY2011/Q4) and Mario Kart 7 (CY2011/Q4) all set for this year, perhaps things are looking up.
The only drawback is that Kid Icarus: Uprising is now down for a early 2012 release.
As for the Wii, well The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is still due for this year, whereas Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call will also arrive this year for Nintendo’s DS.
Some decent games there we would say.
