GAME stores will start to sell digital titles for the PS3 in-store from today. The roll out will start with First-Party titles, with the possibility of Third-Party ones joining at a later date. Currently, in the line-up are God of War Collection (vol.1), MAG and Killzone’s Steel Rain Map Pack.
The roll-out begins with 42 of the gaming stores today, with the hope of all 620 of GAME and GameStation stores to be involved by September.
Ian Shepherd, GAME CEO had this to say, ”this is a significant step forward in our digital strategy. For the first time, gamers will be able to browse a wide range of digital titles for the PlayStation Network in our stores, alongside a variety of other digital and physical products,”
“The partnership reflects the close and long standing relationship between GAME and SCEE across Europe as both companies move rapidly to innovate and bring new products and services to customers.”
