UK retailers could sell the new Nintendo Wii for just under £80 when the sales kick in later this year.
According to sources close to MCV, the Wii hardware price cut and Mario Kart bundle caused sales to rocket in May, and this is something retailers want to repeat.
“The trade price will be similar to previous Wii bundles,” a Nintendo spokesperson said. “At this stage in the console’s lifecycle we want to offer potential customers good value bundles that include ‘must have’ games that family and friends can play together.”
Nintendo announced the brand new Wii U at E3 this year, while a new Wii SKU was announced during this year’s Gamescom show in Cologne.
