As of Midnight last night, OnLive was released into the wilds of Britain, and as such the pricing scheme has been revealed for the service and the extras.
The micro-console will be up for sale at £69.99 and will be available from Gamestation and GAME on their websites only for the moment, but it has been confirmed that the console will be rolled out via the company’s 615 stores over time. In addition, the loyalty cards for GAME and Gamestation will be integrated into the OnLive service allowing gamers to collect points from transactions.
The games available via OnLive will be priced from £1.99 to £39.99. Launch day titles include: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Borderlands, Homefront, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and DiRT 3. A special offer to new customer gives the first game bought for £1 no matter what title it is.
OnLive have also confirmed that along with the partnership with GAME Group, they have partnered with BT to offer customers an exclusive deal. Those who sign up to the Broadband package from BT will gain the basic ‘PlayBack’ package from OnLive; which allows users to access over 100 titles, and BT will wave all data limits until the 31st of January 2012.
Finally, attendees of the EuroGamer Expo this weekend will be able to grab a free OnLive console while stocks last.
