Sega has confirmed that its next instalment of Football Manger 2012 will require a one time steam activation. This comes after Sega announced that around four out of five players of the series is using a pirated copy.
Sega’s aim is to have that 80% of pirated copies bought via legit means. This has been met by strong retaliation by the FM community, claiming it is an invasion of privacy.
The message Sega is trying to stress is that the Steam activation is a one time thing and will not be tracking and/or monitoring gamers.
Football Manager 2012 is available on PC 21st October, don’t forget to pre-order here (PC) and here (PC download).
