Reports on the internet today suggest that the new Xbox 360 dashboard update will arrive on November 25th.
According to GigaOM‘s sources, the update, which is going by the name of “Lakeview”, will use an updated version of Microsoft Silverlight, adding in enhancements such as voice recognition and gesture control, as well as the much reported additions such as BBC iPlayer, 4 on Demand and other TV services.
“The goal is to quickly mature the platform, with the potential of enabling other third-party developers to eventually use the Lakeview framework to build their own apps for the Xbox 360 console.”
An app system for the 360? We can picture it now. If would be a way for people to make money we guess.
