It’s being reported this morning that Doom 4 has been delayed indefinitely, with issues surrounding id Software’s latest title, Rage, being named as the cause.
According to a source who got in contact with Kotaku, both Zenimax and Bethesda made the decision after “the issues and reviews” surrounding Rage’s launch. The source also cited the companies as having “a serious lack of confidence in the project management at id.”
The above is classified as a rumour, so don’t read too much into it.
Our review for RAGE pretty much praised the game, so we are slightly confused by all the fuss, though you can’t please everyone it seems.
Would you be sad to see the end of Doom? Let us know.
