At the moment on PS3, gamers can share their downloaded games with up to five machines, however it seems like this number is soon to be cut to two.
AndriaSang is reporting that as from November 18 purchases will be limited to just the console on which the game was downloaded and one other.
This will count for all Sony machines, so for example, if you download a PSP game on your PS3, then you will only be able to share it with one PSP, another PS3 or a PS Vita. On the bright side, deactivation will now arrive online, meaning you’ll be able activate the machine you need a lot more conveniently.
It’s quite obvious that this is being done to mainly protect the developers, who have complained in the past that up to five people could realistically share their games for free.
