Ubisoft has announced that Just Dance 3 has become the best-selling game on the Wii for the month of October in North America and EMEA territories.
According to the publisher the game is already selling approximately 85 percent higher than its predecessor Just Dance 2, which was previously a Wii-exclusive title.
“Just Dance is a blockbuster brand for Ubisoft,” said Rob Cooper, Managing Director, UK at Ubisoft. “The game’s mainstream appeal has helped broaden the appeal of video games to the mass market. Ubisoft anticipates that the strong sales trend for Just Dance 3 will continue to grow as we head into the holiday season. The social aspect of the game makes it the perfect game to play during the holidays with friends and family.”
To date, the Just Dance franchise, which includes Just Dance, Just Dance 2, Just Dance Kids, Just Dance Kids 2 and Just Dance Summer Party has sold-in more than 17 million units worldwide.
Ubisoft will release Just Dance 3 on the PlayStation Move for PlayStation 3 on December 9, 2011.
