Sony Online Entertainment has announced that revenue for MMO DC Universe Online is up 700 per cent since going free-to-play on 1st November.
That’s according to Sony Online Entertainment boss John Smedley tweeted the figure, along with some other stats.
According to Smedley, revenue is split almost down the middle, with 47 per cent from the PC version and 53 per cent from the PlayStation 3 version.
Smedley also revealed that more than 85% of daily log-ins are returning players, while also adding that most in-game purchases are coming in the form of additional character slots and the Vanguard of the Heavens character skins.
It seems like this model is working for SOE so far, which it may bode well for The Agency and possibly a future PS3 release of Evequest.
