It’s being reported that future PlayStation 3 firmware update will enable Vita Remote Play on all games.
According to Eurogamer, remote play will be supported in games with a 480×272 resolution, upscaled to fit onto the larger PS Vita screen.
In the future, games developers will be given the option to include the Vita specific 480p mode, taking away the need to upscale the image.
The Vita supports a resolution of 960×544, however there has been no explanation as to why Remote Play will be limited to 480p.
Being able to control the PS3 and play its games using the PS Vita is a nice option and one that worked well on PSP, however it’s hardly something we would consider a deal breaker for the system.
