EA’s Battlefield 3 has now sold a total of 8 million units worldwide, placing it firmly on the map as an FPS which is here to stay.
The publisher certainly went for it in terms of advertising and while it may not have dented Modern Warfare 3′s sales too much, it has certainly made a big enough mark to make the next battle between the two a very interesting prospect.
We were full of praise for Battlefield 3 in our review, although were quite disappointed with the single player campaign, which we found to be lacking compared to the rest of the game. Perhaps this is something the developer can look at next time around.
