HBO’s blockbuster TV series “Game of Thrones” is set to become an RPG game over all platforms next year. Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio have announced that they’re developing the game, which they hope to release in 2012 across Europe.
The critically acclaimed series will be developed in Unreal Engine 3 by Cyanide Studio, along with the overwatch of the series’ writer: George R.R. Martin.
The game will offer its players a full 30 hours of gameplay, where you can play as Mors, who is a sworn brother of the notorious Night’s Watch, and Alester, a Red Priest who is said to be looking for redemption after a long time in exile. The plot will play a similar role to the books/tv show, where you’ll travel across the seven kingdoms after the hand of the king has been murdered, you’ll see many memorable locations such as The Wall, and Kings Landing.
Throughout the game, you’ll be able to level up your character and fully customize them in your own image; you’ll be able to chose their fighting style, balance out their strengths to counteract their weaknesses and even how to uphold their honour as they travel around the seven kingdoms. Fighting won’t be the only major decisive winner in this game, along with that, political power and skills will take play – as without the right stance in the community, you’re as good as dead!
More trailers, pictures and information is set to come out soon, but for now we have these four images to showcase some of the games elements:
