Pachter: PS3 sales up 40% year on year in U.S, still half that of 360

Analyst Michael Pachter has forecast 750,000 PS3 units have been sold in the U.S for the month of November, which would be an impressive 40% year on year growth.

While this figure is pretty impressive, it shades in comparison to the Xbox 360, which Patcher predicts has shifted 1,445,000 Xbox 360 units (up 5% y-o-y).

As for Nintendo, According to Industry Gamers, Pachter is predicting 1,050,000 Wii units sold (down 17% year-over-year), along with 750,000 DS units (down 50% y-o-y), and 760,000 3DS units.

Black Friday will no doubt be a major factor whatever the results, however you can be sure we’ll hear all about the results when the NPD posts them later this week.
