It’s being reported that the main campaign in PS Vita title, Uncharted Golden Abyss, is 10+ hours long.
If this is true, that would make this game longer than Uncharted 3, which we managed to clock in around nine hours.
The news comes via Sony Bend writer and game director John Garvin, who, when speaking to Nowgamer in a recent interview, said “we have over two hours of cinematics in a game that is 10+hours long, so story is very important to us, just like it is on the [PS3] console.”
Garvin mentioned the length when talking about the challenges of bringing the franchise to the PS Vita, also adding that the studio was adamant to create an experience on par with previous Uncharted games.
“A driving narrative that makes you care what happens next, that compels you to get to the next chapter… that kind of experience is possible no matter what kind of platform you are on. I’m sure all Vita developers would tell you that we’re just scratching the surface of what this device can do. I’m really excited for what we’re going to see in the next few years.”
Based on what we have seen of the game so far, added to this talk of a 10 hour campaign, we are really can’t wait to get hands-on with Golden Abyss and test out the game in full.
