The Christmas charts- 19/12

The official number one for Christmas has been revealed and it isn’t Modern Warfare 3!

There has been either a game from powerhouses EA or Activision at the Christmas top-spot for the last few years now, but it looks like that reign has been broken with Bethesda’s RPG behemoth The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim taking the number one position for the Christmas Week.

But never fear, Activision hasn’t lost out completely, Modern Warfare 3 deploys to take third place with Just Dance 3 shaking it’s thing into second.

The top ten is as follows:

  1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  2. Just Dance 3
  3. Modern Warfare 3
  4. FIFA 12
  5. Saints Row: The Third
  6. Battlefield 3
  7. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
  8. Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympics
  9. Need for Speed: The Run
  10. Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call

Needless to say it’s a bit of a turn up for Activision not to hold the number one spot over Christmas.
