House of the Dead 3+4 Reloaded for Playstation Network!

SEGa have announced that hit arcade horror shooters, House of the Dead 3 and House of the Dead 4 will be coming to the Playstation Network.

Both games have been given a total revamp to feature HD graphics for the first time, along with support for PS3 trophy system. Not only will we be able to unlock trophies whilst playing in HD, we’ll also be able to do so with the PS3′s amazing interactive system : Move. PlayStation Move will be sure to add a whole new aspect to the horror experience, as there’s nothing quiet like fighting off a zombie attack with your own hands!

Starting on February the 7th, you’ll be able to experience House of the Dead 3 exclusively on the PlayStation Network; which will then be followed by House of the Dead 4 this coming spring.

Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America, had this to say : ” The House of the Dead has always been one of SEGA’s most popular series, and over the years we have worked hard to bring that full arcade experience to console owners”. He also mentioned that “The abilities of the PlayStation 3, as well as PlayStation Move, have let us get closer than ever before. The only thing these titles are missing is a need for quarters.”

House of the Dead 3 was originally released in 2002, when it followed up its predecessors’ success with the addition of the addictive “Rescue events” along with some neat additions, such as a shot ranking and grading system that added a whole new competitive aspect between both players. In 2005 we seen House of the Dead 4 hit the arcades by storm, when it introduced “Treasure Rooms” that had players scavenging the map for score boosters and other goodies that helped them eventually thwart of the creatures trying to devour them!

For those of you who don’t have PS Move, don’t fret, as the games will also be playable via the PlayStation controller – but I must urge you to try them out with PS Move!

For now, here’s some spine chilling screenshots! :
