X360A is reporting that Microsoft will soon allow players to earn up to 400 gamer points when playing Xbox Live Arcade titles.
Currently, all XBLA titles released have an achievement points limit of 200, with a maximum of 20 achievements per game. If a developer decides to release DLC, then an additional 50 achievement points per quarter can be added, giving a total of 350 achievement points.
The new rules mean that from June 1, gamers playing XBLA titles will now be able to earn up to 400 points from the base game and an extra 100 points per quarter for DLC. This could make up a grand total of 800 points if the maximum DLC is released.
Hope that makes sense.
We have contacted Microsoft to double check the new rules and if the story first published on X360A is accurate.
