It’s being reported by The Times that Comet owner OpCapita has offered to buy out the GAME Group’s lenders, including the complete repayment of all of the chain’s suppliers.
According to the newspaper it is not yet known whether The GAME Group intends to accept the offer that is currently on the table.
This news comes following a report that Wallmart may be set to put in an offer for the group. While, an investment firm known as Blueshore Global Equity has also today acquired 29m GAME Group shares, giving it an 8.35 per cent stake in the retailer and limited voting rights.
