Crystal Dynamics is working on a reboot of “Soul Reaver,” according to a new report.
VG247 is reporting that the game is a full reworking of the vampire action classic, which will include an all new art direction.
Soul Reaver originally launched in 1999 for PlayStation and PC, while a Dreamcast version also followed in the year 2000. The game was then followed by numerous sequels, although not a lot has been heard of it for a few good years now.
It seems that Soul Reaver may be taking the same sort of direction as the developers latest Tomb Raider game, which is basically a reinvention of the series. Either way, we should find out at E3, or perhaps even sooner.
Finally, VG247 has also been told that the studios other new IP, which we have mentioned previously, will be an XBLA game.
