Hirokazu Yasuhara joins Nintendo

Sonic level designer, Hirokazu Yasuhara, has joined up with Nintendo. The man who helped bring us the classic Mega Drive titles of hold joining the enemy? Well that’s just great.

Yasuhara has certainly been around, having worked on some classic titles.  Starting at Sega in 1988, he worked on the original Sonic titles for the Mega Drive. In 2000, Yasuhara spent some time at 2K Sports, before moving on to be a senior game designer at Naughty Dog, where he worked on the Jak & Daxter and Uncharted.

He’s also worked with Namco on the recently Pac-Man party titles.

Sounds like Nintendo has itself a bit of a star.
