Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim director Todd Howard has said Bethesda will continue to have love for single player games, despite multiplayer being one of the most requested features.
Speaking in an interview with IGN, Howard told the site that will the developer “always look into multiplayer,” generally it “always loses.”
“It’s not that we don’t like it [multiplayer]. I can think of ways it would be a lot of fun, but at the end of the day, that dev time is going to take away from doing the best single player game we can, and that’s where our hearts are.”
Just to add a little twist, Howard also added, “the two most requested features we get are dragons and multiplayer. We got one of them this time.” Personally we are guessing he means Dragons, which is fine by us, because sometimes a single player game is best just left as it is, especially when it comes in the shape of a great series such as The Elder Scrolls.
