New job listings on Microsoft’s careers site show that the company is working on bringing Skype to Xbox.
As spotted by Engadget, the job postings are for various engineering and management positions with those successful working in the newly-formed Skype Xbox Engineering Team. The descriptions say experience with Metro style apps for Windows 8 would be beneficial. Interestingly the ads don’t mention Xbox 360, but rather just say MS is “building the next generations of our products and technology.” Which could point to Skype being included in the NextBox instead.
Microsoft has purchased Skype last year and has since been working to integrate it’s service into all of its products. Skype for PS Vita is due to launch at the end of this month.
