Nintendo revealed during its financial investor presentation last night that Sony’s PS3 is the leading selling console in Europe for the year so far.
According to the data (via MCV), Sony has seen weekly continental sales of between 100,000 and 50,000 units. 3DS is next best selling console with sales between 50,000 and 30,000 per week and Xbox 360 just behind.
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has dominated sales in the U.S and the UK for a good few years now, while the rest of Europe has always been more inclined to purchase Sony’s console, so this news really only confirms what was already known.
It’s interesting all the same.
