Richard Lemarchand, Lead Designer at Naughty Dog, is moving on to a new role, as a teacher.
The developer has decided to take up a new teaching role at the University of Southern California, where he’ll be teaching in the Interactive Media Division, the same place which trained Thatgamecompany’s Kellee Santiago and Jenova Chen. As part of his role he’ll also work on a series of experimental games, as part of a research project.
“In other words, I’ll be surrounded by awesome people, talking craft and philosophy, and building strange new things!” he mentioned to Gamasutra.
Good luck to him, although we are sure his skills at Naughty Dog will be missed.
