EA has confirmed during its latest financial call that it’ll be releasing a new Need for Speed game this year, while a new Dead Space game is expected to arrive early next year.
The publisher referenced the title during the call last night when it said: “At the foundation is another year of blockbuster brands: Madden NFL, FIFA, Sim City, Medal of Honor, Dead Space, and Need for Speed as well as mobile hits like The Simpsons Tapped Out, and Bejeweled.”
We’d like to know more obviously, but when questioned by Game Informer, all EA would say was, “There’s no further information today but watch for several big product announcements from EA at E3 in June.”
It’s thought that Visceral Games is the studio currently working on Dead Space 3, while we suspect that Criterion will be working on the next NFS game and not Burnout as we originally thought.
E3 isn’t too far away now, so we expect to find out a lot more about these games and more very soon.
