PocketGamer is reporting that the 3DS will soon hit 1 million sales in the UK.
The system could hit this milestone as soon as June, although MCV reports that due to the increasingly stagnant UK games market, since it currently requires around 50,000 units to hit the seven figure target.
Total global 3DS sales stood at 17.13m as of the end of March, while Nintendo hopes to shift another 18.5m by this time next year.
Sony, by contrast, forecasts 10m Vita unit sales in FY2013, which would bring the system to around 12 million sales worldwide. Currently the Vita has only sold around 100,000 units in the UK, although that’ll surely change with the announcement of new titles and a possible price cut.
