Japanese Charts, May 21 – May 27: Dragon’s Dogma proves popular

This week’s Japanese charts are in, showing Dragon’s Dogma having a very strong debut.

Capcom’s excellent RPG managed to grab both first and forth place, selling a whopping 302,040 units on the PS3 alone. Elsewhere Nintendo also got some good sales thanks to Mario Tennis Open, which came in at second place with 101,645 units sold.

There are also quite a few other new releases, helping the charts pick up a little after a quiet few weeks.

On the hardware side, things still remain a little quiet, with PS3 not really receiving much of a sales boost, despite Dragon’s Dogma’s Huge sales.
