Gearbox Software has today released some new shots for the up coming Aliens: Colonial Marines. The Borderlands 2 developer has had this game under wraps for a while with a solid release date only coming recently.
The game which was announced properly back in 2008 hasn’t been seen much but what we have seen of it impresses. Aliens: Colonial Marines is set after the third Aliens film and puts you in the boots of Corporal Christopher Winter, who as the subtitle suggests is a colonial marine. He is part of a team that is sent to investage the USS Sulaco in search of the person known as Ellen Ripley.
The game on paper has a compelling story and it’s only a matter of time until we get to play it. On top of that the game has a multiplayer portion that consists of drop in/drop out co-op gameplay as well as the traditional competitive multiplayer action.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is due out February 12 on PS3, 360, and PC with the WiiU version currently without a date.
