THQ’s new boss Jason Rubin doesn’t sound like he’s too bothered about Vigil Games telling the tale of the remaining two horsemen from its Darksiders series.
Speaking in an interview with The Verge, Rubin said that although the Darksiders series does interest him, Vigil’s future may lie away from a third game.
“Darksiders II is very interesting but I think I can get that team to make other very interesting games,” he said.
Darksiders II will release on August 14 this year, for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. A Wii U version is also in the works.
As big advocates of this series, we’d love nothing more than Vigil to continue working on a third and possibly even a forth game. The only way that’s likely to happen though is if Darksiders II both scores and sells well, so fingers crossed.
