Nintendo 3DS XL announced

Nintendo has opened an official site for the new Nintendo 3DS XL system which was announced last night.

The 3DS XL will have a larger screen and a better battery, with the latter coming in at 3.5 to 6.5 hours for playing 3DS games and 6 to 10 hours for playing DS games.

In the package you still get a touch pen, six AR cards, and all the manuals, although the SDHC Memory Card has been upped from 2GB to 4GB. Interestingly the system does not include an AC Adaptor, instead you can use your AC adapter from your 3DS, DSi LL or DSi. Or, you can buy an AC Adapter separately.

The new system is expected to be around $200 at release, which will be around the end of July/August.
