It may not be the biggest news of the day, however it’ll probably interest those who are considering a brand new Nintendo 3DS XL.
In the latest Iwata Asks, in which Nintendo answer fans questions, research and engineering division designer Takashi Murakami revealed that the company has been working hard on the 3DS XL to improve a particular problem area of the 3DS.
“On a LCD screen there are basically three reflective layers, which all of them reflect and cause glare. So this time, we specially treated all the layers.
“Reflectivity on the Nintendo 3DS was about 12 percent, but we decreased that to about 3 percent.”
So there we go, no more screen glare, or at least very little.
The 3DS XL is hitting store shelves this Friday in the UK, you can pre-order your’s here.
