Borderlands 2 will remain uncensored in every country of release.
It’s quite surprising that despite the game’s colourful take on violence, it’ll remain uncensored in stricter markets such as Australia and Germany.
“We’re happy to announce that Borderlands 2 will be uncut all over the world,” Gearbox posted on its official blog.
“Some fans will remember that the first Borderlands game was a bit toned down in certain territories compared to the rest of the world. No longer!
“Do you live in Germany? Australia? Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloody chunks of awesomeness as they will be in Canada or England (which is to say: very likely).”
To counter the lack of cuts, Gearbox has added a new Gore Toggle option, allowing gamers to tone down the violence should they wish to do so.
Borderlands 2 launches September 21 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can pre-order your copy here (PS3|Xbox 360|PC).
