Dawnguard, the first official game add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now available to PC users. The English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions can be downloaded from Steam.
Unfortunately the PS3 version is currently delayed, since Bethedsa is not yet happy with the quality of the add-on for Sony’s machine.
Over at the Bethblog, a statement reads, “We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse.”
“We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.”
Dawnguard allows players to go down the path of becoming a Vampire Lord or join the Dawnguard, a band of vampire hunters. This will allow players to sprout wings and hover, or raise the dead. The catch is that they take damage during the day.
You can pick it up now on PC or Xbox LIVE.
