Assassins Creed III PC version to release 3 weeks after console

Ubisoft has just announced that the PC release date of Assassins Creed III will be November 23rd, three weeks after the release of the PS3 & 360 versions.

Here’s the official word straight from Ubisoft:

Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratohnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Players become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date.

Assassin’s Creed III is set to release on October 31st for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and will be available for Wii U™ from Nintendo when the Wii U™ launches.

Assassin’s Creed III is out in October/November, you can pre-order your copy of the ‘Join or Die’ Edition from ShopTo by clicking this link.

The only reason I can think of is because PC games are cheaper than console games, as well as other advantages, so the delay will encourage people with consoles and a gaming PC to buy the console versions. this must be pretty annoying to people that only game on PC.
