Nintendo have announced that they will be hosting a press event for the Wii U in New York on September 13th.
The event will be hosted by Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. An invitation sent to a few select media outlets today promised a day that will let us learn "more about how the Wii U will change the future of gaming and entertainment."
At present the Wii U is rumoured to be releasing in November stateside and December in Europe with no indication of pricing. New York press events seem to be Nintendo's way of announcing major new console news as they did with the 3DS in early 2011 and before the Wii launch in 2006.
It looks like September 13 will be the day when Nintendo will finally tell us the release date and pricing for the Wii U.
