Sony happy with PS Vita sales so far, says Kaz

Sony CEO, Kazuo Hirai, has told Reuters that the PS Vita is selling "pretty much" in line with expectations.

"Worldwide, the Vita is pretty much along where we would expect it to be, maybe trending behind in certain territories," Hirai told Reuters on the sidelines of IFA, Europe's biggest consumer trade show, held in Berlin.

Hirai refused to elaborate on the areas in which the system is lagging, but it seems like Sony is perhaps bending the truth just a little, since it has already reduced forecasted sales expectations for combined PSP and PS Vita sales from 16 million to 12 million for FY 2013.

Not huge, but with titles to come this year, and the titles shown at Gamescon, the figure is bound to go up. Sony are supporting it well, and once it sells, so will third party. I look forward to cross controller, and being able to play ICO on Vita!
