Hearthfire now available via Xbox LIVE

Bethedsa announced that Hearthfire, the latest DLC add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now available via Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Downloading Hearthfire will allow players to purchase land and build their own home in the salt marshes of Hjaalmarch, the forests of Falkreath, or the vast tundra of The Pale. Once you have a home, you'll then be able to expand it with an armoury, alchemy tower, kitchen, trophy room and more. You'll also be able to grow plants in your new greenhouse, cultivate slaughterfish in the fish hatchery, house your Arcane Enchanter in the enchanting tower, or display your latest conquest in the trophy room.

Finally, Hearthfire will also allow you to start a family, allowing your adventurer to hang up his boots and make Sunday lunch for the kids instead. It's all going a bit Sims really, eh?

Hearthfire is available for Xbox 360 now, priced at 400 Microsoft Points on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. You can add it to your queue here.

Bethesda really do know how to alienate their PS3 fanbase. I know it has the deal with Microsoft for the 30 day exclusives, but it should atleast announce a date if it's going to be bringing it on to the playstation in future. If it isn't, it's even worse.

Danzte, it's because Xbox paid them to have exclusive rights to it! They did the same with the GTA DLC/

I know that, but they've only paid them for the 30 day exclusive content. You think Bethesda would announce exactly a month later they'd be releasing the PS3 edition of the game, but they haven't. They're leaving the PS3 users in the ditch.

They aren't ignoring the ps3 users. They are having trouble with Dawnguard and don't want to release it until it's ready. The PS3 must be harder to develop for than the Xbox - they released a statement the other week explaining the situation and they are still working on trying to fix the issues.

It doesn't look like a major dlc, but for 400 msp i guess you can't really complain. Hopefully the next dlc they release will be more like Dawnguard.

As a huge fan of Skyrim and bethesda it's a bad way to take extra money from the fans, i prefer more cool quests

I quite like this dlc. It's a nice little addition with some easy achievements to make the game feel a bit more....your own :)
