Call of Juarez: Gunslinger announced for digital release

Techland has revealed Call of Juarez: Gunslinger for PSN, XBLA and PC, following a teaser which appeared yesterday.

Joystiq managed to get hold of an early build of the game and reports that it seems to be quite close to Bound in Blood in terms of gameplay. "Shooting is stylish, frantic, and constantly rewarded by spurts of blood and points," says the site.

"These numerical rewards are funneled into a set of skill upgrades, which improve your gun-twirling prowess in diverse ways. Acquire the right abilities and you'll extend your bullet-time bravado, decrease your reloading times and make perfect headshots mid-air."

The game is due to arrive in 2013. Here's the first screens.

Looks pretty enough but I'll wait for a full review - if its as glitchy as its predecessors I will steer well clear.

The game looks great going off those screenshots, hopefully the gameplay and story will match. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Yeah, it certainly looks good. I like this art style in games. I'm surprised there hasn't been more western style games since the success of Red Dead Redemption.
