Perhaps it’s unsurprising considering the install base, but news has come to us that PlayStation Move is outselling in Japan.
According to Andriasang, by the end of 2010 Microsoft’s Kinect had sold 90,000 units in Japan, with Move selling almost double with a total of 170,000 sales.
Interestingly, Torne, a DVR attachment for PlayStation 3 outsold both, with 784,000 units shifted, making it the year’s best-selling peripheral.
Elsewhere in the World it’s all about Kinect which was named the fastest-selling electronics device in history after 8 million units of the motion sensor were sold in its first 60 days on shelves, it has now sold over 10 million units. Move figures are estimated to be at around the 5-6 million, which is still makes it a reasonable success for Sony.
