Nintendo has just revealed that the Wii U console will launch on December 8 in Japan. It'll cost 31500 yen in Japan for a black 32GB Premium set, and 26250 yen for the white 8GB Basic set.
Two live events planned today for the US and Europe will reveal the true cost to us here in the west, although currently people are speculating at 205 gbp for the basic model and 250 GBP for the premium model.
As for what's included. The white SKU will have 8GB of internal memory and the Black SKU has 32GB. The more expensive SKU also includes stands and docks, while both include an HDMI cable.
Both SKU's are said to be 20 times more powerful than the Wii, coming complete with 1GB system memory, 1GB game memory and 1080p support out of the box.
Nintendo also revealed that the Gamepad, when sold separately will also cost 13340 yen.
