Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 coming to Wii U

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be coming out on the Wii U, according to a Joystiq photo.

The game is set up outside of Nintendo's New York City press event today and is playable for members of the press.

It is likely that Nintendo will release more details at the press event taking place at 3pm today.

Thanks to Joystiq for the image.

Seems obvious that such a 'major' release would be on any new console

Doubt Nintendo would miss their chance for this one. I'll end up getting it on the 360 anyways since thats what tradition dictates

Not surprised, but most PS3/Xbox360 and PC gamers would not get this on Wii U, I think it's more fun playing the traditional way. Wii U for me looks something which I will get bored with very quickly, no need to waste money.

I'm not really sure there's much point to releasing this on the Wii U to be honest. I know Nintendo have made a much bigger push for third-party support for their new system compared to last time round with the Wii, but honestly if you're a CoD fan I don't think you're going to be choosing the Wii U over other platforms. Just seems like a strange way to lose money to me.

I can't imagine playing it on that giant controller. It's very much a game that needs quick reactions and I can't see that controller being great for that. Still, being Call of Duty I'd imagine it'll sell well regardless
