Here's the New Super Mario Bros U trailer

Nintendo have released the full trailer for New Super Mario Bros U, that was featured during yesterday's Nintendo Direct Wii U.

Here's what Nintendo said about the next addition in the Italian plumbers series:

The new 2D platform game introduces a giant world map full of distinctive courses to discover. The GamePad can be used to play solo when the TV is in use and can also be used to assist other players when playing co-operatively. An all-new test of players? Super Mario skills appears in Boost Rush mode, where auto-scrolling courses scroll faster the more coins you pick up, while in Challenge Mode any course can offer completely different gameplay depending on the specific nature of the challenge at hand. From Time Attack to 1-Up challenges, even Mario veterans will need to bring their best game to beat the record!

You can preorder New Super Mario Bros U and the brand new Wii U today at ShopTo. Both releasing November 30th in the UK.

Actually looks pretty good. Was kind of getting bored of the new styled Mario games. May take some convincing since all my friends hate Mario but I'd really like to give that multiplayer a go

There's something about Mario titles that always puts a smile on my face. Some may complain that Mario games don't change all that much but if it ain't broke, right? I loved the first New Super Mario Bros. game on the DS, haven't had a chance to check out the 2nd game on the 3DS yet but that, along with this Wii U one, looks like more of the same quality, fun platforming I want from the series. Don't ever change, Mario!

I have the New Super Mario Bros on the DS but haven't played any of the new ones at all yet. Can't bring myself to pay £30+ for any of them. Also dont have a 3DS yet so that isn't an option. I do admit though there is something about Mario games. I'm usually into complex mechanics and RPG elements in games but I can't count how many times I was sitting there smiling like an idiot while playing Super Mario Galaxy 2.
